What can I say?! The Oscars brought in some of the best dressed and sadly actress’ I was excited to see were very underwhelming. Here are my most favorite of tonight’s red carpet.

Showing off some future trends from laser cutouts, spikes & studs, structured, metallic,  and plunging necks all over, I can foresee these being hot these year.

Who was your favorite??

BRING BACK THE 90’S!!

For some its painful to even think that the early 90’s is now considered vintage. Being more than 20 years ago, the new generation of tweens and adults alike are finding themselves in floral baby doll dresses, denim button ups oversize flannels and knee high socks again.

Here is a blast from the past of some of the most influential people that are heavily influencing the current trend right now. From Cluessless to My So Called Life to Empire Records, check out the revival of the 90’s.

Herb Ritts, his composition and style is amazing.

The Teese

Our style inspiration of the minute: the lovely miss Dita Von Teese.

Her style and character embodies the word “lovely” in every way. She is a woman of taste and grace, as dainty as lace.

We’ve tracked her over the years and this lady never breaks character. She IS the vintage goddess that she appears to be. From her porcelain complexion to her perfectly assembled outfits, the image she creates is that of a sculpted beauty. She is the result of time, patience and dedication.

Dita lives the lifestyle in her home that is as retro as herself. Her 1940’s home is “an homage to the golden age of Hollywood” like a snapshot from an old film.

We celebrate this fabulous woman’s aesthetic. It should be looked at as a model to how we should treat ourselves, as a vintage goddess deserving of the time and effort it takes to be fucking amazing.

Every day is an opportunity to to be in character so channel a little Dita, wear some red lips and own that shit.

The legend of Alexander McQueen lives on through the hands of Sarah Burton. Her love, talent and most importantly understanding of his vision for the house displays drama and amazing craftsmanship in the Fall/Winter 2011 collection. We see a lot of this summers trends continue with a contrast of soft and hard, blending bondage style corseting layered over a hyper detailed silk flowing dress. I know summer has only just begun, but in fashion, we always have to look to the future.

Style icon of the minute…..Bianca Jagger
